Senior engineer to step into a ~30k LOC system (~300 files) and help shape it properly.

Production-style system with real complexity. Interdependent modules, async flows, external integrations.

Stack: Python/FastAPI backend, Next.js frontend, early-stage routing/AI components.

Expectations:

• quickly understand an existing codebase

• trace data flow across modules/services

• identify structural issues and bottlenecks

• make pragmatic improvements without overengineering

Starts with a deep dive and direction, with room to stay involved and build it out.
